Made of engineering steel, these products are generally loaded with carbon or alloy elements to be:
- Heat treated to obtain mechanical strength in the core or on the surface
- Welded (using all conventional processes)
The surface is protected by a zinc metallic coating (approximately 2.5 µm) deposited by electrolysis before shaping the product in order to obtain better corrosion protection than bare steel.
