  • With a higher carbon composition, these stainless steels are appreciated for their:
    - Hardening heat treatment
    - Corrosion resistance (inferior to that of austenitic stainless steel)
    - Good mechanical strength
    - Good weldability
  • The final rolling is done at a high temperature. The products are then annealed and pickled. This surface condition is common for thick sheets and plates. The appearance is matte and slightly rough.
